PoliPhysics Lab

Mathematics and Applications

PoliPhysics Junior Lab is a youth-led physics research initiative operating under the umbrella of the CAMPUS Research Institute at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest. Dedicated to high-achieving high school students and international physics olympiad medalists, our mission is to bridge the gap between competitive problem-solving and advanced scientific discovery.

We integrate theoretical physics with computational modeling, numerical simulations, and hands-on experimental verification. Our activities span key domain tracks including wave propagation in inhomogeneous media and radar systems, photonics and quantum optics, nonlinear dynamics, and computational astrophysics. By providing access to high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure and university-level laboratory equipment, we enable our members to conduct original research, publish scientific pre-prints, and refine their practical skills for top-tier international competitions.

Through this hybrid workflow—combining remote computational research with intensive university bootcamps—PoliPhysics Junior Lab serves as an incubator for the next generation of global researchers, equipping them with the academic track record and technical expertise required for admission to leading global universities.
