The Laboratory of Technologies for Classic and Alternative Fuels is specialized in optimizing existing thermochemical processes and developing new processes to expand the range of classic and alternative fuels for energy production through thermal equipments. The laboratory team consists of three teaching staff, 2 postdoctoral fellows and 3 PhD students and numerous specialists co-opted within the implemented projects. The laboratory has implemented so far 4 projects: a knowledge transfer project (CleanTech), dedicated to the circular economy, which included 15 subsidiary contracts with economic partners (2016 - 2023); an institutional development project (2017-2018) through which the research infrastructure was completed; a sectoral project dedicated to the valorization of aquatic biomass for the production of green energy (2021-2023); an innovative technological project (2021 - 2023) dedicated to the energy valorization of plastic residues. The team is the author of over 40 articles in specialized journals and 30 participations in international conferences.
