NetZeroCities is funded under the European Union NextGenerationEU. It is a National Competence Centre providing solutions for the development of Climate Neutral and Smart Cities via 5 pillars among which the Competence Center on Climate Neutral Governance. It aims to enhance the 5G network in the Politehnica Bucharest’s campus, creating a real-life environment for showcasing communication solutions, for smart and climate-neutral cities, to public authorities and other interested stakeholders. Also, it creates a strategy for city governance in Romania given local and regional processes and implementation, validation and refining governance solutions of use-cases offering circular economy introduction of solutions to the Net Zero transition with standards and guidelines for process handling, adoption, and impact monitoring.
