Laboratory of Thermal Processes Simulation is a research lab within the UPB research center CAMPUS. It develops combustion processes applied on fossil and alternatives fuels (solid, liquid, gaseous fuels) with the aim of enhancing the overall energy and environmental efficiency of the process. As well, the lab offers specific knowledge in scale-up-ing thermochemical processes through development of simulation modelling and analysis. The existing infrastructure allows the study of heat and mass transfer, energy balance, emissions treatment and control. The laboratory staff, composed of 6 faculty members, was involved in several national and international research grants and strategic programmes funded under European Structural Funds. They are authors for more than 100 scientific publications in high ranked journals and top conferences from the field.
