Soil Contamination Analysis, Control and Remediation Lab

The main aim of the Laboratory for Soil Contamination Analysis, Control and Remediation developed in the framework of UPB research center CAMPUS, is to provide integrated solutions in selecting the optimal methods for the remediation of polluted soils. Our answers to the contaminated land environmental issues are considering the effectiveness of methods for removing the hazards caused by soil pollution, and also risks that the remediation method itself could cause to humans and environment. As a result, the laboratory activities are directed both to research-development-innovation in order to test and optimize methods for remediation of polluted soils (in situ and ex situ remediation techniques) and to generate services at the highest quality level and professionalism. The Laboratory for Soil Contamination Analysis, Control and Remediation staff and infrastructure were involved in different national research grants and strategic programmes funded under European Structural Funds. In this way resulted an important number of scientific publications in high ranked journals and top conferences from the field, but also two patent applications were achieved.
