Large Scale Distributed Systems Laboratory is a research lab within the UPB research center CAMPUS. The Laboratory is doing technology study, development and deployment of Grid technologies, focused on monitoring, control, resource planning, fault tolerance and performance optimization for increasing the quality of service and performance of the national GRID system. Also we employ research and development of large data storage, mass storage management systems, where you can do fast search, access and data replication. Our laboratory also implements different Cloud computing services as a ground base for cluster and grid jobs. The Large Scale Distributed Systems Laboratory staff, composed of 7 faculty members and researchers (post-doc, master and PhD students), was involved in several national research grants and strategic programmes funded under European Structural Funds.
