Fluide Nanostructures and Soft Nanomaterials Lab

Fluide Nanostructures and Soft Nanomaterials is a research lab within the UPB research centre CAMPUS hosting one laboratory of INOVABIOMED project, Laboratory of advanced methods for polymers and nanomaterials processing (LMAPPN). Laboratory of advanced methods for polymers and nanomaterials processing is thought-out and designed as an effective tool to manufacturing biomedical products using the latest equipment. In this laboratory modern and innovative solutions for fabrication of finite biomedical products (such as films, coatings, various components of medical devices, 3D scaffolds for tissue engineering, pharmaceuticals etc.) will be developed, using extrusion of melted materials. Also, the laboratory aims to use highly advanced, complex, and unique techniques (e.g. Bio-printing system, customized electrospinning system) for fabrication of a wide range of biomedical products, from implants, matrixes for tissue regeneration to artificial organs, which can replace or substitute different diseased or affected parts of the body. The laboratory aims to become a real support for potential industrial partners in Romania, and not only, in manufacturing new biomaterials and / or developing improved solutions for market available products. Polymeric Nanomaterials Laboratory involves postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, MA students and students from faculties of Medical Engineering, Engineering in Foreign Languages and Applied Chemistry and Materials Science.
