Flight Testing and Experimental Models Lab is a research lab within the UPB research center CAMPUS. It develops experimental models for flight testing, advanced guidance and control algorithms and systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. FTEM provide students with practical insight in the study of Flight Dynamics, Guidance and Control, Aerodynamics, UAV/UAS Design and Manufacturing; allow development of experimental skills with low costs; create a team working environment. FTEM lab students and staff are accepting challenges of international contest and conduct research in optimization of drones. Flight Testing and Experimental Models Lab staff, composed of 3 faculty members, MSc and PhD students, is involved in several national research grants and strategic programs.
