Visa information
If you need a visa to enter Romania, please contact the conference secretariat (info@icmr2017.ro) to get an invitation letter to present to your local Romanian Embassy or Consulate. Please include in your email the following information: - Your name - If you are an author of a paper accepted for the conference or a workshop, please provide the workshop name (if relevant), paper ID and the title - If you are not an author, please provide the purpose of your attending (e.g., regular participant, industry invited talk, etc) - Your email address - Your date of birth, gender, and passport number
Note that, invitation letters for visa purposes can only be sent to people who have completed the registration process.
This letter however does not involve any commitments by the conference organizers to cover fees, accommodation, travel expenses or other costs connected to the participation in the ACM ICMR 2017. It is an ordinary conference invitation letter. However, experiences indicate that this is good enough for most situations and most locations for applying for the visa.
Our experience in organizing other conferences (e.g., EUSIPCO 2012, CBMI 2016) was that the process to obtain a Romanian visa is straightforward, smooth and user-friendly. However, we do advise you to apply for your visa as soon as possible, upon receiving your acceptance.
